Subject: [Leica] I Received A Scanner as a Christmas Gift

LUGers,

In addition to the Ferrari (1/8 scale model), the 20 YO  Lagavullan, I 
was given my first Slide and Negative
scanner , made by ION.. As  have said before, I am a photo digital 
idiot. I do have thousands of slides and
negatives, some of which I would like to scan and send.

Do any of you people know of this scanner?  As a starter.  I do NOT want 
to invest in P'shop or L'room yet.
The ION 2PC came with a software CD or DVD and a PRINTED MANUAL!!

Can you experts give me some advice?  Or should you talk me out of this?
