I just wante d to point out that there are a number of Leica R or SL ? u sing Nature Photographers with Leica glass that is very old to ''Just ?out of the box" APO Telyt Modulars! Maybe we should get something out to show some of the amazing images that?great Leica glass in a propeurly configured way, old or new Telyts, are capable of pin sharp images, manually focussed, with a DMR? or film for capture. I have a friend, just back from a second trip to Ecuador where he photographed rare southern hemispherete Hummingbirds usinsg the Modular Apo Telyt system. His most 'fun'?set up consists of using the Largest Modules together with a 1.4 or 2.0 extender. He sometimes needs to place 25 pound bags?of dry rice and place the bags on top of his tripoded set-up -- add, sometimes fill flash, and you have a heavy duty setup. With the DMR and the great close focus of the Lens internally he has a whopping magnitude. He also has some incredible in- flight stuff. A bit of ingenuity and some chewing gum to hold it all in place! I want to 'Coax him into posting'?- from lurking, or just reading (whatever)- a fe w images, just to show that the latest technologies can be a BIG help, (like IS) at times focussing manually is a joy, and it helps you recal all your panning with the subject ect. techniques. I hope I can have him post,or I will have to post some things of my own, and they are not nearly as good! ?So is anyone else has some please post a few!
