Jerry, my cardiologist is the reason I'm on Lipitor. Last June I had a momentary anomaly in the sight of my right eye. My doctor told me to see my ophthalmologist but for the record, let's do an ultrasound; that led me to Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC whose intervenmtional cardiology dept is headed by a friend and sometime client, Dr. Gary Roubin who invented the carotid stent. He and his team did a carotid artery angiogram that showed a 98-99% blockage in the right carotid. And contemporaneously inserted a stent. Scary stuff, since my cholesterol levels have always been well within 'normal' limits. More than you needed to know, but why I am very grateful to be here.
