While at work I use digital cameras 95%. On my time the figure is almost reversed. I primarily shoot B&W, with my M3, M2, IIIf, Rolleiflex, Bessa II, 4x5 Graflex, Pentax 6x7 and Nikon F. I like the way they feel, love B&W, and prefer a film negative to a digital file. Still enjoy developing film in the darkroom. I usually use Olympus OM's for color slides (on Kodachrome, for as long as is possible). In August I bought a Canon 30D to carry to and from work in case I see an image that could go in the campus files, (I didn't want to have to lug around a 1D MkII off-duty too), and used it somewhat to capture autumn colors, and pictures of our cats, but I still get an empty feeling when I have an image that only consists of 0's and 1's. I digitize pictures to put on the LUG Gallery, but like having that analog original that can be viewed without electronic intervention. I know others shake their heads at all this, but photography is my hobby as well as my profession, and it seems that there are a lot of other crazy hobbies.
