A reasonable point
to consider
Mark.

However, sometimes one can
simply pick up either hammer
go out to the shed
and discover
what it works well for
and what it does not.

NOTE: do not attempt pounding impact
with the nail pulling tongs on the framing hammer.
and
do not expect to pull nails with either end of the ball peen hammer.
other than that
both can pound a nail
and damage just about anything.
