My hearing is still excellent. I still have a Supex 900 Super mounted in a 2nd table that I pull out from time to time. I bought it in the early 70's when it was the top moving coil cartridge of it's day. The stylus is still perfect. But I find it can't compete with todays top performers. The sound is more coarse and lacks some of the inner detail. But if you enjoy what you have that's all that matters.
