I have no issues with its image quality and tons of good features, but the optical viewfinder is a disappintment from a company that once made excellent rangefinders, almost(!) on par with the Leica. It only shows part of what the camera records and has no other information (AF point, shutter speed etc.). Coming from SLRs I can't get used to hold cameras at arms length to frame with the (albeit large) LCD screen. I am sure I missed several good shots of animals because of this awkward framing and the (slight) shutter lag. Shutter lag depends on what the camera is "checking" (auto flash, AF etc.) after you press the button. If you don't absolutely need a pocketable camera go with the Rebel Xxx series and you get a lot more camera for only a little more $$ with an informative viewfinder, a responsive shutter and the ability to mount all kinds of good glass.
