[Leica] Is the DOF using a digital sensor any different than that of film?

I think you're answering a different question. The question I heard
essentially says this: "If I shoot a 50mm lens on my M8 will the depth
of field be identical to the image made by an M6 with the same lens
(cropped to match the M8).

I would say the answer has to be yes. I cannot make my head wrap
around any different answer.
