Archived posting to the Leica Users Group, 2009/02/11
[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hello! I am new. My name is Jan ("yahn", Dutch for John) van Rooyen and I am
a violin maker living in Gainesville, Florida, USA. I don't even have a
Leica yet! I have used two Zorki-6 cameras for 10 years now with the
following lenses: Snapshot Skopar 4/25, collapsible 3.5/50 Industar (Elmar
copy), black 2/50 Jupiter and black 2/85 Jupiter (Sonnar copies) plus a
revolving turret viewfinder. I am also an avid Exakta/Exa user with several
bodies and lenses from 16mm to 500mm, and have a few nice Retina's. I am a
user, not a collector (although my wife does not always see it like this!).
I am now trying to purchase a IIIa 1937 Leica body from Sherry Krauter and
am also bidding on eBay for a body. I would like to have and use a pre-war
camera. I hope to be a Leica user soon and to enjoy membership in your
Group.
Best regards,
-- Jan
