I had a copy editor who used to give me grief every time I called them 
Canadian Geese.  He always said "How do you know they are from Canada? 
They are Canada Geese."

He was right but it was annoying.  Kinda like telling me there is no 
such word as "aint".  ;)

Course a few days ago I heard them called Canadian Geese on TV and I 
laughed, the state of journalism today.  Just like the day after 9/11 
and the local news was reporting on how the English Parliment for the 
first time in history played the "Star Spangled Banner" before a 
session...well the reporter said "God Save The Queen" was our 
anthem...Geesh people on the Nashville TV are dumb!!!!
