I do not expect 3 Michelin stars quality at McDonalds, so I (and millions of others) accept the hassle of flying the likes of Ryanair in return for this kind of fare. Having said that, I do prefer Easyjet and Air Berlin--also low cost but much better service. And finally--both Easyjet and Ryanair have a much better on-time performance than the traditional carriers, and their safety record is excellent as well.
