As for the rain, I did not allow the M8 to get really wet. Either I kept it under my jacket, or I took the pictures from under something. This is the one feature I wish it had, i.e. water resistance like my E3, but I realise that it would technically very difficult to do, given that we use legacy lenses on the M8.
