For such shots though I'm surprised you'd use a 35 other than it happened to be on the camera at the time which is a good enough reason to use it to me most the time. But a gold mine thing kind of stuff with a 50 you'd need less cropping. If you had a 50. Or anything longer than a 35 Which I'd think would give you a higher magnification and a better working distance.... If you ever find such nice March buds again.
