Just go to the Crime Statistics page: http://www.cityrating.com/crimestatistics.asp I always send travelers there after they read the state department warnings about traveling to Central America. Memphis is safe if you just use common sense, like in any city anywhere in the world. We heard so many warnings about travel in Peru, that if I hadn't read the same things about all of the countries I've been to, I would never have left home. Tina
