COLOUR OR b&w >>>I really haven't been following this thread, though I was surprised to see it as an issue from your camera. My code on things like this is to not shoot them. It is low hanging fruit and easy to steer a viewer's mind to a conclusion that may be in error. We don't know if the pair featured are ignorant or educated, so it is kind of like pinning a sign to their backs. In the large version, the guy in the chair could very well be Ric Carter, and the guy on the ground Kyle Cassidy (who we all know uses a grocery cart as a gadget bag, since he carries all kinds of crap with him on a shoot.) The sign gets in the way and too bad, because it could have been a pretty good picture.<<< Hi Sonny, Thank you, as your comments will be much appreciated by my grandson who shot the picture. By now I assume you've read the follow-up post explaining more about the picture and reason for posting. Even though Wink's initial reaction to the scene as he walked along the street was a "cool moment." His initial re-action was to the sign, then the two gentlemen in the background. He's about to begin his university education shortly having graduated from high school last year, so I'm sure because of this and the sign were the influencing factors in his seeing a photo moment. However without doing the bckgrnd interpretations by many, it still comes down to an interesting story telling photo for a neophyte shooter. But without question this is a very excellent teaching situation for a young lad who's just taken to the magic of photography most recdently. ted .
