Just as I charge all batteries purchase fresh batteries (for strobes, etc.) clean lenses and sensors make sure I have two of all cords etc. Day to day I don't do all that. So far I've not had a problem with the Canons, DMR or M8 card reading by following the procedure. However, I'm listening not recommending simply reporting. I may very well begin to reformat more often. ;~) Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On Apr 10, 2009, at 9:09 AM, Slobodan Dimitrov wrote: > It's kinda like a jack-in-the-box surprise. > When you're full of certitude, at one of the most important events > of your life, never to be replicated again, then it will kick you > in the pants, > S.d. > > On Apr 10, 2009, at 6:35 AM, George Lottermoser wrote: > >> I do not format the card after each transfer to the computer. >> I do not, normally, have any problems by not doing so. >> I do reformat the card occasionally just to clean things up. >> >> Regards, >> George Lottermoser >> george at imagist.com >> http://www.imagist.com >> http://www.imagist.com/blog >> http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist >> >> On Apr 10, 2009, at 6:45 AM, Lluis Ripoll wrote: >> >>> Hello Eric, >>> >>> O.K., I've just do it and it works, the SD Card is able to shot >>> 740 pictures at DNG. >>> >>> Thank you very much, I can't imagine that every time you should >>> format the card! >>> >>> Saludos cordiales >>> Lluis >>> >>> El 10/04/2009, a las 13:35, Eric Calderwood escribi?: >>> >>>> Hello Lluis, >>>> >>>> I always format the SD card in my M8 after copying any files >>>> from the SD >>>> card onto my computer via a card reader.
