I got a big kick out of this......
Brian is a SW guy, me a HW guy. I blame the SW, he blames the HW. The
blame is always bigger on the other side of the fence!
Intermittent failures? Like Windows crashes?

Intermittent failures of electronic devices are almost always hardware
problems and not software problems, but clearly there is a software sequence
that can reset the flaky device (until it flakes again).
