[Leica] Technical Question Film Processing

I'm with you there--the only reason that I'm even contemplating using a 
darkroom is that I now have a SECOND bathroom in a house.  In my old apt, 
the film processing (and drying) would have been interrupted by trips to the 
commode.

I seem to recall stories about film processing in the 30s, where the film 
was sensitized to highly volatile substances (such as ammonia) prior to 
exposure, in order to increase the film's sensitivity.  If that's the case, 
my old (shared) bathroom would have produced ISO 12,000 film.

I actually wish I had somewhere other than the shower to hang my film.
 Or at least a 2nd one.  My girlfriend invariably always needs to
shower right after I finish hanging a couple rolls to dry.
