I swap the battery out with the card about at 4GB (~375 frames). Almost never been anywhere cold though. I think I'm at about 6000+ frames and original battery is fine. It would be interesting to know how many of our users here have had to discard their original battery (takes too long, doesn't hold charge long or whatever).
