If you think that way it'll probably happen. Me? Hell I'd never ever have thought that line, as I'd be far too happy shooting away without a thought of changing cards or film, even a 2 gig card. Interesting finding when inserting an 8 Gig card. :-) For those who have not done so yet. :-) It's cool! :-) If only 50 years ago digital and 8 Gig cards were available I wouldn't have had to pack 500 to 1000 rolls of film on many of my assignments, simply because where I was shooting there weren't any local photo or convenience stores. So what you needed or thought you might need, you packed the lot if there was the tiniest of question "I wonder if?". So you took everything in the way of equipment and film. So to my pleasant surprise I bought an 8 Gig card inserted it into the M8 while set on RAW. Surprise.. looks like I can shoot 720 frames without changing card.. That's over 20 rolls of 36 exp. Tri-X. Now if one were to shoot in JPEG that jumps to 1000 frames! Damn all that film I had to hump around for so many years. Just thought you might find this an interesting point in favour of digital for those who did shoot thousands of rolls a year. And still do. However, what I did find upon inserting the card directly to computer card reader...... "IT WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD!" A scary moment as there were some cool images I really wanted. Ran the situation by my local computer-photo Guru, he was sure it wasn't the card as we could see the images on the camera screen. But that it might be the computer card reader wasn't fast enough or words to that effect, to down load the information. He suggested an external card reader of high capacity? We popped in a new HAMA card reader and "blink!" There were all the images fly into LR2 on screen. You could hear the breathing again. Just thought it a moment to pass along in case you hadn't played with an 8 gig card. Heck even shooting a football game where quite often ten or 20 36 exp. rolls would be exposed during the afternoon. Now one card and shoot two games without changing! :-) And no bulging photo vest pockets with film!
