[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Thanks Philip, the day I was there the locomotives were not exactly the most spectacular either - Sir Nigel and the Black 5s were being given a once over in the sheds and the Schools Class "Repton" only turned up on another day when we were in Pickering on market day - it pulled up about 6 feet away from our table where we were having coffee - interesting that there was a group of about 10 young ladies learning "footplate awareness" on that day. I noticed this year that the Southern 825 now also has smoke deflectors - doesn't look half as good as without - in fact, all in all the beast is beginning to look a bit tatty.
