If all TV channels were commercial, > I probably would not bother with TV any more. > Frank Same here, the quality of most of the commercial stations here is generally abyssmal (unless you like lots of sport, quiz shows for dummies, so-called reality shows and soaps.) The worst thing is that many channels here transmit a volume booster signal that increases sound levels by around 50% when they switch into commercial breaks.
