My dad was in tUS Army tanks and got a battlefield promotion from corporal to lieutenant after The Bulge All of my uncles served in the US military during WWII as well. I spent 10 years in the US Marines (two with a camera at work!) and got a small taste of combat and the terrible price it extracts. Unless you've been there, it's difficult to imagine, whether in combat or not. I salute my brothers and sisters across the planet, past, present and future and thank them for their service. I pray they all come home from harm's way, wherever they may be tonight.
