"The X1's shutter response is not instantaneous. There's about a quarter 
second lag. I believe that the reason for this is that sensor is, of course, 
always live for LCD previewing. When the shutter is pressed the len's leaf 
shutter needs to be closed, the sensor's electronic shutter primed, the 
shutter opened and closed for the actual exposure, the electronic shutter 
closed, and then the sensor turned on again for previewing."



That's a deal-breaker for me. I wonder if the LCD can be turned off, and 
would this close the leaf shutter?

 Also, it sounds as if manual focus is clumsy and nothing to indicate DOF.

Just F.Y.I...   The two big things that stood out for me are the truly 
exceptional image quality and somewhat disappointing autofocus speed they 
both report with pre-production firmware.
