Just because both are expensive and well-made does not mean that there are synergies in marketing. I appreciate the Leica and am willing and able to pay the price, but in other product categories I am happy with just basic functionality. I could not dream of paying more than ?70-80 for a pair of shoes; I buy cars is infrequently as possible, and when I do, I go for something reliable and functional like Toyota. I have no idea what a Hermes bag costs, but certainly will never buy one. And so on. People have different priorities.
