The Apple Store lists the Macbook Pro Laptop for $1199, the 21.5" iMac for $1199, and the 27" iMac for $1699. All with impressive specifications and free programs. Now just where can you buy a comparably equipped new Sony VIAO laptop for $400? Inquiring minds want to know. Remember that a top of the line Mac computer costs only a fraction of the price of a f.95 Leica lens and only about 20% of the price of an M9 kit. If you are into digital photography, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Don't compromise your excellent work by using anything but the BMW of computers. ;-) LARRY Z On Sat, Dec 5, 2009 at 7:08 PM, Lawrence Zeitlin <lrzeitlin at gmail.com>wrote: To all those bemoaning the fact that the PC has more available software than the Mac, wake up and smell the coffee. And you can buy a Sony Vaio for one third the price of the cheapest Mac. That buys a lot of software and coffee. Also support, when you live four hours away from the nearest Mac store.
