Some of my best memories are from Christmas time in Germany in my teen years. I lived first in Wetzlar and then in Frankfurt. Frankfurt, of course has changed and built up into a quite modern city, but not so much that I can't find my way around still. Nice shots of "home." I never went to the Market in Mainz, but I'll never forget the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremburg. It was quite exotic to me, a youngster from Louisiana, the sights and smells. A really crisp cold day still makes me think of Brats grilling on charcoal. ;-) On Sat, Dec 12, 2009 at 11:52 AM, Douglas Barry <imra at iol.ie> wrote: > Went to Frankfurt last weekend with some schoolfriends from 40 years ago. > Drink, food, drink, food, precious little sleep and fewer photos, you know > the sort of thing... > > Took the Rolleiflex and my now well dropped compact Oly SP320 (waiting for > full frame compact with viewfinder - GR1 style will do).
