Interesting, but inaccurate. The Maginot line, which did not extend to the
channel coast, was taken by the Germans primarily from the rear after
Germany invaded France through the Belgain Ardennes Forest.
Fortified emplacements like those in France and Singapore during World War
II before effectly useless when outflanked. Having fixed emplacements with
the guns pointing out in one direction didn't help.
