Jeffery,

Coyotes are fairly common in the suburbs north of New York City and have
ventured into the city itself. Within the last month one was captured by
police in one of the city parks. Their favorite food is pussycats but they
will eat any small animal they encounter. I have videos of one dismembering
and munching on a small fawn that died about 20 yards from my back door. My
wife and I thought at first that it was a mangy dog but a close look at the
video showed that it was a coyote. There have been reports of coyotes
interbreeding with dogs to produce "coydogs." I would be curious to see the
offspring if one decided to mate with my neighbor's Pekinese.
