They spurred me to check on the specifications on the Ipad and the drift on the 'net appeared to be that color management was supported, making IE the odd man out for large screen viewing of photos. If IE were to be brought around, color management would likely be the thing to do, but of course you are correct about sRGB for the current environment. Personally, I'd prefer to avoid the extra small step effectively degrading the color by converting it to a smaller space.
