I am a dunce when it comes to computers, but my friends say buy an eSATA external drive or enclosure. I see my new motherboard, replaced as a result of a power surge that got past my UPS, has eSATA connection. I understand this to mean that you can have an external 7200 disc or discs. I have a WD internal 1TB disc used only for images, that is backed up to three external discs that are USB 2 5400 rpm. Takes a while. When I get more photos it will probably be 3TB or...? Others can correct or augment this. Ken Carney
