But the costs for conventions?is tough to walk away from; they've built the city for that. The new convention center handles 6 blocks of people and is where some huge gatherings occur such as the annual Consumer Electronics Show. So if you're inside all day at a conference, walking around at night can be entertaining (for a short period). We?usually have to go once every?2 or?3 years. We?try to catch a Cirque de Solei (we saw Ka this time) which is usually fantastic.?There are also some very nice art exhibits (last time there was an Ansel exhibit that was just amazing, and no crowds!). So for a few days, it's tollerable if you don't go outside. And there is a Kanter's Deli for an amazing Ruben Sandwich and some pretty good restaurants (though not cheap). I would guess that photography in the casinos isn't allowed. My shots were guestimate hip shots at f1,4;?only the ones of my wife gambling are in focus. The 2 shown were the best of many attempts. As?for the O2 bars, I have no frickin' idea... :-) Best, Bob ?Bob Adler Palo Alto, CA http://www.rgaphoto.com ________________________________ From: Nathan Wajsman <photo at frozenlight.eu> To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Sun, July 18, 2010 10:00:42 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] IMGs: Vegas Nice pics but what a horrible place! WTF is an oxygen bar? A place to recover after you have lost all your money? And were you actually allowed to photograph in the gambling hall or did you sneak those? I remember being kicked out with my camera in Atlantic City in the 90s.
