You may just be without your camera for some time, especially if it has to go to Solms. You could probably hand-deliver it to Leica NJ and they could assess the situation right there & let you know what kind of time you're looking at. you shouldn't have to send it back to BCC, the dealer I bought my M8 from said to deal with Leica NJ directly and if there was any issue that the seller needed to address, they were happy to assist.
