[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I remember reading about this one -- while joe is not adverse to making "natural light" when one doesn't exist, by putting flashes outside of windows in parking lots, this photo was actual natural light. the woman sorting the weeds was blind and did everything by feel. he just saw her in the light and ducked into her house. i remember seeing that film War Photographer about Jim Natchwe, and there's this one scene where a boy has been killed and his family is freaking out in the street, just screaming and crying and he's photographing it, and then the family goes in the house AND HE JUST FOLLOWS THEM, there's a video camera on his camera, so you can watch, he just follows these people into their house and photographs them crying and weeping and nobody says "hey, what the hell are you doing in our house?" maybe it's just "think invisible, be invisible".
