George,
Very nice. I thought the boss of 'slack key' tuning in the American
mainstream musical canon was Ry Cooder, who was influenced by, and learnt
the technique from, the father of them all, Gabby Pahinui. If you like this
sound, then I recommend Cooder's "Chicken Skin Music" album as an
introduction.
