The usual compromises between depth of field, ISO speed, and required shutter speed, obviously come into play. Today's two examples were both at f:8 The porch rail allowed me to somewhat anchor the camera; which allowed me to check the focus wide open; and then stop down - the preset ring is handy for this. I find the 90? magnifying view hood easier to focus than the prism viewer; both because of the magnification and the slight apparent increase in brightness; I've used it in all my recent visoflex photographs over the last few months.
