The Sony 28-75 2.8 was the lens that came with the A900 I tested.  I'd
put it on about par with the Nikkor 24-70 f2.8, which means it is very
good for a zoom.  I didn't know it had four aspherical elements.  That
seems excessive to me.  The Sony is probably not as good as that
megabucks Leica one, but the Leica lens did get put out of production
because it cost too much to make.  Hardly a useful benchmark.
