I get to know a lens, and use it for the strengths. If a lens has a weakness, I avoid using it where it might fail. The strength of the TE for me is that it fits in my pants pocket, (*is that a TE in your pocket, or are you happy to see me*), makes good pictures as a short tele, and most importantly, it is paid for.
