There were two serious young men inside with tripods and long Nikon zoom lenses taking studies of the orchids. They would set up the tripods and cameras and then zoom in and out to frame the flowers. I was there with my D700 and only the 28 Elmarit and 90 Summicron - so I set the lens in use at its minimum focus distance and rocked back and forth to get sharp focus and then stopped down to increase depth of field. The zoomers didn't think much of this technique and ignored me but I liked the results. Please see for yourselves: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/HK2010_001/Purple28W.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/24m9edd First with the 28 Elmarit http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/HK2010_001/Purple90W.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/2a4t2jb And then the same bunch of orchids with the 90 Summicron. Please look at them large - C & C always welcome Howard
