In 1992 while shooting the medical documentary on Russian doctors, then
the Chernobyl Children. I asked if it were possible for me and a guide to go
to Pripyat? When I asked the person the immediate response was... "You must
be crazy, do you wish to die a horrible death? No one is allowed as it's
still so HOT humans are not allowed to enter."
I'm quite surprised they now have guided tourist tours, amazing as I
wouldn't even think of ever doing that for at least an other 5 or 10,000
years.
