I remember standing in the hall outside the darkrooms in the Georgia Dome talking with my friend and fellow Nashvillian Mark Humphrey of the AP. Mark had all of his gear and was leaving. This was right after the game was over. I barley had time to get to the darkroom from the sky box I was shooting from before this conversation. I joked with Mark about leaving before they had finished souping film. He said they were done...this was the first all digital Super Bowl for AP coverage. Heck our film was still in the Fuji processor and AP was DONE, edited and moved their photos to Washington and on to member papers....I remember asking Bill why were still there, AP had us beat by HOURS and we all knew first photo in to the newsroom wins.
