Lets see Epson R-D1: They did it when Leica said digital RF cannot be done (with the then technology). 1.5x crop. No magenta problem. Has all the strengths and weaknesses of the Bessa, plus the gorgeous analog dial and an 1x viewfinder that is better than most Leica's. $3000 at release. Leica M8: 2 years after R-D1. 1.3x cropped, 10 MP goodness, flawed with an "IR ready" sensor. $4500 at release, $6000 for the M8.2 upgrade Leica M9: surprised most everyone. M7 in digital world. Flaws are nitpicks: thinner body, thumb grip. All the strengths and weaknesses of the M7. Need I say more? Released at $7000. Given the historical context, once again your dig seems superficial. -- // richard <http://www.imagecraft.com/> // icc blog: <http://imagecraft.com/blog/> // photo blog: <http://www.5pmlight.com> [ For technical support on ImageCraft products, please include all previous replies in your msgs. ]
