Loved the owl shots and my favorite was the Little Green Bee-eater. Which I've never heard of. That little guy just loves to eat bees. Just picks em right out of the air! How many birds can do that? No idea! Maybe others too. Love his colors and love his shape. If its a he. Owls tend to be my favorite but this guy has got that fish owl beat. I'm just guessing he likes fish the owl he goes into the water to get them? I like fish too. I ate one tonight. Need to learn more about breading. -------------------- Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ mark at rabinergroup.com Cars: http://tinyurl.com/2f7ptxb > From: Jayanand Govindaraj <jayanand at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Thu, 16 Dec 2010 09:03:18 +0530 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: [Leica] Yala - Birds > > Yala National Park in Sri Lanka is also a birders paradise: > > Two shots of a Brown Fish-owl: > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR4960-Edit.jpg.html > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR4988.jpg.html > > Lesser Adjutant Stork - > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR5013.jpg.html > > Little Green Bee-eater - > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR4995.jpg.html > > Orange-breasted Green Pigeon - > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR4936-Edit.jpg.html > > Peacock - http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGJ1103.jpg.html > > Intermediate Egret - > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/jayanand/Yala/_JGR4912.jpg.html > > C&C as always, welcome > > Cheers > Jayanand > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
