Thank you all and especially Ted for the funny story.

First: at least I am old enough now not to stand for BS, so I only have
patience for constructive criticisms. Thankfully, most people I have for
critiques from do give constructive ones.

I also understand preference for different things. For example, one
gallerist I talked to cleanly prefer unusual subjects or presentation (e.g.
she's a big fan of plastic toy cameras) whereas another one clearly prefers
locations he can relate to, and with people in it. So I am not so concern
about various preferences per se. (there's a fine line between someone not
liking an image because it's just nothing there there vs. bias toward
certain preferences).

Regarding this portfolio, clearly some images can be tweaked to have more
punch, but I notice that in my strive for that "perfect adjustment curve" to
do digital negative contact printing, some of the shadow areas are
definitely muddy and plain look bad, so the criticism is definitely valid.

I am now tweaking the curves and doing inkjet prints for reference and
contrast. The inkjet prints are very nice, with contrast and punch. However,
I just like that silver look so I shall soldier on more.

Again, thanks to all.
