The Third Man. My favorite movie. I've lost track of the number of times I've seen this (and I never tire of watching it). I first saw it when I was about five years old, and I think it influenced my whole life. The lighting of Robert Krasker, and the mood in toto incited a love affair with a B&W view of the world. I also saw a lot of Ealing comedies at a young age so I have to also credit Douglas Slocombe with giving me a talent for lighting. When I got into photography I was excited to have the chance to create in stills what these men had done in motion pictures. I guess this explains why I like Lluis' B&W shot better.
