I don't think anyone who continues with photography as a hobby or profession will ever forget seeing it happen the first time. It appears as pure magic; expose paper, in to the tray goes a pure white piece of paper, then slowly the picture begins to appear and you keep making quick glances at the timer on the wall, back to the print waiting for the one minute or minute and a half when the print should be perfect and into the stop bath a quick 15 seconds and the fixer tray. Turn the light on and you admire what you've just done...... made your first print. :-) WOW! Then you look over at the enlarger table while the white light is still on and there sits a 100 sheet box of paper with no lid on because you forgot to put the lid on! :-( OOPS! Been there and done it a few times! :-) And I'd bet I'm not alone on that one! :-) cheers, ted
