Rather ruthless one might feel, but it works!!!!!!!!!!! 1/ EDIT RUTHLESSLY! SHOW NO MERCY! KEEP NO PRISONERS IF NOT PERFECT! 2/ IF THERES THE LEAST BIT OF CAMERA SHAKE! ( and your heart is over riding your brain like "aaahh gee whiz it's only alittle bit and it's still kind of nice!" IT'S HISTORY! 3/ THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF ALL. "IS THIS ONE OF MY ALL TIME TEN BEST EVER SHOT PICTURES?" If the answer is no ... IT'S HISTORY. 4/ DON'T PUT THEM IN A CABINET AND COME BACK LATER! THEY'LL STILL BE OUT OF FOCUS 6 MONTHS LATER! THEY'RE HISTORY! Follow these simple rules and you will only have the cream of the crop! No point in keeping half assed images you will for the rest of your life have to make an excuse why it isn't perfect everytime you show it!! And accept the fact: " NO PHOTOGRAPHER HAS EVER BEEN PERFECT ON EVERY EXPOSURE!" oh heavens there are a few who think they do! :-( But then they're the overblown idiots! SO EDIT LIKE IT MEANS YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT! TRUST ME IT'S A TOUGH CALL, BUT PERCEIVER! I really learned the hard way through experince!.. Imagine editting the numbers of images to create a National Archived collction of 380,000 images. That's all keepers! :-) BE RUTHLESS! cheers, Dr. ted :-) " <lrzeitlin at gmail.com> To: "Leica LUG" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Sunday, January 02, 2011 9:32 AM Subject: [Leica] Plethora of pictures > In keeping with a New Year's resolution I tried to clean up my 12" > Powerbook > hard disk and store all my images on another drive.
