Use a card reader. I've never hooked my M9 up to the computer - too many things could go wrong! What kind of card are you using? Does it have a lock on it? Sometimes the lock gets set by accident. There are many programs to rescue the images if they are there. SanDisk has a free one. But use a card reader for that, too! Good luck!
