I still love film because there's nothing quite as much fun as seeing a
bunch of images appear on a spool of plastic.  Also, mechanical cameras have
real personality.

It's the reason that I've stuck to film for monochrome; the delicate
transitions in the highlights particularly can only be obtained with
digital under some lighting conditions.  Good films still have better
dynamic range and highlight separation.
