She's obviously has great talent and an environment at home that nurtures and encourages her to push her abilities and not be afraid to explore. Watching our kids achieve health, happiness and "success" (an inner thing; for all of us different) is truly one of life's greatest gifts. So again, congratulations on this moment and may you and Emily have many more. Emily graduated with high honors last May (biology and American Studies from UNC Chapel Hill), and left to spend a little time with friends in England. Last fall, she took an internship at major public health NGO Population Services International. They've asked her to go full time, so she's headed to Nairobi (one of their 3 headquarters with DC and Bangkok) for a year or so working on their infant survival and malaria programs. That's the pretty good news. The really good news is that she just got accepted at the Grad School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. They will let her defer entry until she finishes the PSI assignment. I'm bustin' buttons here. ric _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
